Problem with love life? School? Parents? Don’t fret, Lloyd Cadena is just a click away.

His name may not ring a bell to some people yet but it will soon. In fact, he is already a YouTube sensation with his channel already amassing over 24 million views with more than 230,000 subscribers.

Lloyd started gaining followers in 2011 via his “LC-Learns #10: Crush mo ko, crush kita.. Ano na?” video that already has almost 700,000 hits.

Just like that, Lloyd was able to branch out as book author (he has two to his name ) and DJ (iFM).

In an interview, Lloyd attested that his popular videos are based on reality. He also maintained that the advice he dispenses are all tried and tested.

“Humuhugot ako sa mga sarili kong experiences. Kaya gusto ko talagang mag-explore ng iba pang ganap kasi gusto kong makahugot from there para mas feel ko magsalita,” he explained.

The Colegio de San Juan de Letran graduate started posting videos on YouTube at 15, doing cover songs and parodies.

“Una talaga, gusto kong maging singer. But since walang nanonood, ako lang nagre-refresh, nag-iba ako ng field kasi may mga nag-influence sa akin na mga international YouTube sensation stars: Sina Shane Dawson, GloZell, Miranda Sings. So ’yang mga ’yan, tinitingala ko talaga ’yan. ’Pag nakita ko sila, mamamatay ako. Super fan ako so naisip ko na what if maging ganu’n ako kasi it’s fun,” he related.

Although he dreamed big, he never expected it would come true. He couldn’t be happier that apart from having launched a lucrative career, he’s also able to influence other people.

“Masaya ako in a way na ’pag may nakikita ako every day na nagme-message: ‘Nai-inspire mo ako. Natulungan mo ako mag-move on.’ May mga moment na nagre-reflect ako na ’pag down ako, sila ang naga-uplift sa akin. Napakasayang experience na tinutulungan ko sila, tinutulungan din nila ako pabalik. May worth pala ako,” he said.

Of course, Lloyd is not letting go of his first love, and plans to take another stab at a singing career. He’s actually starting a new channel for his cover videos.

ABS-CBN is helping Lloyd achieve his goal through its multi-channel network Chicken Pork Adobo. It has already 90 personalities on board tackling a variety of topics like toys, fashion, comedy, music, lifestyle, entertainment, arts and crafts, food, parenting, and more.

“Chicken Pork Adobo is the platform where we empower creators who may not have a chance to go on TV. Chicken Pork Adobo democratizes it for everyone by harnessing and gathering all of them, and for them to leverage on each others’ strengths. We want to showcase the Filipino talent to the world, not only to Filipino audiences,” said Donald Lim, head of ABS-CBN Digital Media Division.

In launching Chicken Pork Adobo, Lim said the network is recognizing the power of online media to reach wider audience and help content creators make a mark in the digital space and become superstars.
